Provide Direct Support to 150 Low-Income Pet Owners in 2025

The primary goal for the second year of the PC Essentials Program is to provide pet owners with the support they need to care for their animals. We aim to help at least 150 low-income pet owners by offering assistance for pet food, toys, and veterinary care.

Objectives:

  1. Process and approve 150 applications for the PC Essentials Program by December 31, 2025.
  2. Distribute assistance for up to 100 qualifying families for pet food and/or toys assistance by December 31,2025.
  3. Provide up to 50 families with financial assistance for veterinary services, such as routine wellness visits and vaccinations by December 31, 2025.
Establish and Maintain Partnerships with 5 Local Service Providers

A key aspect of our program is partnering with local service providers, such as veterinary clinics, pet supply stores, and community organizations. By the end of 2025, we aim to establish at least five formal partnerships that will provide essential services to the pet owners we serve.

Objectives:

  1. Finalize Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with 3 veterinary clinics in Mobile and Baldwin Counties to provide routine care to program participants.
  2. Establish partnerships with 2 local pet supply stores or online suppliers for the redemption of food and toy assistance.
  3. Partner with at least 1 subsidized housing community to reach low-income pet owners and distribute program materials.
Launch and Engage 100 Pet Owners in the Private Facebook Group

In addition to financial support, we will create a vibrant, supportive community for pet owners through our private Facebook group. By December 31, 2025, we plan to have 100 pet owners actively participating in the group, where they can access resources, engage with experts, and receive peer support.

Objectives

  1. Successfully invite and engage 100 program participants to join the private Facebook group by December 31, 2025.
  2. Host at least 6 live Q&A sessions in the group with veterinarians, trainers, or pet care experts by December 31, 2025.
  3. Post biweekly educational content in the group, focusing on pet care tips, health advice, and community-building topics.
Secure $45,000 in Funding for Program Sustainability

To ensure the long-term sustainability of the program, our goal is to secure at least $45,000 in funding through grants, donations, and partnerships by the end of 2025. This funding will support operational costs, direct assistance to pet owners, and program growth in future years.

Objectives

  1. Apply for and secure at least 3 grants from local or national foundations focused on animal welfare or community assistance by June 30, 2025.
  2. Raise $25,000 in individual donations through targeted fundraising campaigns, online donations, and community events by June 30, 2025.
  3. Engage at least 2 corporate sponsors or partners to provide financial support or in-kind donations (e.g., pet food, supplies) by June 30, 2025
Implement a Program Monitoring and Evaluation System

In 2025, we will establish a system for monitoring and evaluation (M&E) to track program outcomes and gather data for future improvements. This system will allow us to measure our impact and ensure that we are meeting the needs of the community.

Objectives

  1. Develop an M&E plan by the end of Q1 2025 that outlines key performance indicators (KPIs), data collection methods, and timelines.
  2. Collect and analyze data on the number of families assisted, services utilized, and participant feedback.
  3. Conduct 2 program evaluations in 2025 (one at mid-year and one at year-end) to assess the effectiveness of the program and identify areas for improvement.
Raise Public Awareness

During 2025, we plan to raise awareness about responsible pet ownership and the services offered by the program to reduce pet abandonment in our target counties.

Objective

By December 31, 2025, reach 500 community members through educational events, social media campaigns, and informational materials, promoting pet care knowledge and the availability of assistance for low-income pet owners.
